Bryan De Bruin, who acquired Red Cedar Homes in 2026, leads the Carolinas homebuilder as Owner and CEO. Meet the leadership team and see where Red Cedar is going.

Red Cedar Homes today announced that Bryan De Bruin leads the company as Owner and CEO. De Bruin acquired Red Cedar Homes in 2026. As Red Cedar Homes CEO, he sets the company's direction across land, development, and homebuilding in Charlotte, Greenville, and Spartanburg. Learn more about our story and the team behind it.

Bryan De Bruin named Red Cedar Homes CEO

Red Cedar Homes took root in the Carolinas in 2014. It built infill homes and finished communities across the region, became its own homebuilding company in 2020, and sharpened its focus on infill building in 2025. In 2026, De Bruin acquired the company.

"Red Cedar has a strong team and a clear place in the market. My job is to give that team the structure, the land, and the discipline to grow without losing what makes the homes good," said Bryan De Bruin, CEO of Red Cedar Homes.

    Who Bryan De Bruin is

De Bruin is a licensed South Carolina attorney whose practice has focused on real estate and development. He has represented clients in mergers and acquisitions, entitlement and development, partnership structures, and commercial finance. He has also co-founded and led a Carolinas real estate investment and development company.

That background shapes how Red Cedar works. Land is bought and entitled with care. Homes are priced up front. Buyers, partners, and landowners get straight answers.

"I spent years on the deal side, structuring land and development transactions. A homebuilder lives or dies on the same things: the right land, a clean process, and doing what you said you would do," De Bruin said.

    The leadership team

    • Bryan De Bruin, Owner and CEO: sets strategy and leads land, development, and growth.
    • Greg Duriez, President: leads homebuilding across the Carolinas, with decades of experience at private and public builders.
    • Jon Grabowski, Co-Founder: a founding member of Red Cedar and a through-the-cycle homebuilder who has developed and sold thousands of homes across the Southeast since 2004. He stays closely involved in strategy, growth, and partnerships.

    What Red Cedar Homes builds

Red Cedar builds "elevated, not custom" infill homes in markets it knows lot by lot. Each home comes with a stated price, with options priced before contract. Buyers can choose a home available now, build in one of our communities, or pick a Curated Home on an individual homesite.

The company also builds for investors through its fee build program, with 11 plans and published vertical prices, on a Red Cedar lot or the client's own lot. It buys residential-zoned and rezoning-eligible land, from raw land and farms to existing developed lots, through its land program.

    Where Red Cedar is going

Red Cedar builds today in Charlotte, Greenville, and Spartanburg. Coming soon: Hickory, Statesville, Lancaster, Clinton, and the Lake Keowee and Clemson corridor.

"Our mission is simple: build communities where people want to live. We want to be the builder people trust with their home and their money, and our goal is to become a top 100 U.S. homebuilder by 2030," De Bruin said.
